Yesterday, I delivered the fourth part of our series on Failures. We'll end this series for now, but may pick it up again down the road. However, in this message, I talked about the sin of Judah and the grace that God bestowed upon him in spite of his sin. We saw once again that we're saved not by being "good" people, but by the grace of God. This message can be heard at https://archive.org/details/Judah

On the 6th of July, we heard part 3 of our series on Failures. We looked at the life of Jacob and his tendency to seek blessing by his own means rather than trusting in the Lord. Again, for some reason, the sound quality isn't great. But it can be found at https://archive.org/details/Jacob_201407
This past Sunday, in my absence, Pastor Nate brought the message. He shared how we cannot trust in our own righteousness. We must instead trust in the righteousness of Christ. His message can be found at https://archive.org/details/AudioRecord20140713103924

Last week, we began a new series of messages on failures. We're looking at the great men of faith in Scripture, the ways they failed in their life of faith, and the grace of God that was given them in spite of their sin. Last week, we talked about Adam and Eve. Unfortunately, this message was not recorded. This week, we talked about Abraham. The sound quality isn't good. I'm not sure why. However, this message can be streamed or downloaded at https://archive.org/details/Abraham_201406

Unfortunately, the first couple minutes of this message were not recorded. However, in it, Jesus comforted his disciples. After giving them some distressing news, he encouraged them by telling them where he was going and what he would accomplish for them. In response to their questions, he also told them the way to the Father. This message is also an encouraging message to us, as we live in a world of sin and evil. We receive Christ's promise of what he has done for us, that we might believe and be saved. This message can be heard at https://archive.org/details/TheWayToTheFather

Yesterday, on Mother's Day, we talked about the influence mothers can have on the lives of their children. We looked at the example of Timothy, who was raised in faith by his mother and grandmother. We then used to this to reveal the important role possessed by moms. Even though they may feel limited in ministry by their children, raising their children in faith is truly the most important ministry they could ever possess. Yesterday, at Ebenezer, was confirmation Sunday. We witnessed two of our youth publicly confess their faith in Jesus. And our message was directed at them. That being said, it's something that we all need to hear. We heard how faith in Jesus is not a one-time event. It's ongoing. And we heard of the great blessings that come when we follow him. This past weekend, we hosted Pastor Mujahid El Masih. He shared with us about his life in Islam, his coming to faith in Jesus, his ministry, the persecution he endured, and how God brought him to the United States. He also shared with us three sessions on Christianity and Islam.

The only part of his presentation that went unrecorded was the adult Sunday School hour on Sunday morning, where he talked about Silent Jihad.

I've just released another short work on Amazon. So often, we go through the motions of faith. We go to church, sing the songs, and bow our head to pray. However, even though we do all the right things, our heart and attitude are displeasing to God. If this is to change, if we're to be acceptable to God, we must first be broken. If we're to be pleasing to him, our heart must be crushed. You can purchase this ebook at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JV58KL6

On Maundy Thursday, we talked about arrogance and humility. Even though we're turned off by arrogance, most of us display this quality in many ways. Jesus, however, calls us to a life of humility and service. This message can be heard at https://archive.org/details/TrueHumility
On Good Friday, Pastor Nate brought the message. He talked about our tendency to look to signs rather than trust in the gospel of Christ. His message can be heard at https://archive.org/details/TheSignOfJonah_201404
Unfortunately, our Easter message did not get recorded.

Yesterday, we heard another installment of our Lenten series on the Passion History. We looked briefly at the inscription that Pilate placed on Jesus' cross and the ways it was understood. We then asked how we understand these words today. This message can be heard or downloaded at https://archive.org/details/TheInscription

Yesterday at Ebenezer, I continued my Lenten series on the Passion History. We looked at the women who followed Jesus, mourning for him, as he was led away to be crucified. And we find that, instead of mourning for his suffering, we should mourn for ourselves. This sermon can be heard or downloaded at https://archive.org/details/TheWeepingWomen
On Wednesday of this past week, Pastor Kirk Thorson from Larimore, ND brought our message. It was part of our series "Sermons Preached by Christ's Enemies." His sermon focused on the words of the chief priests, "He saved others, but he cannot save himself." This message can be heard at https://archive.org/details/HeCannotSaveHimself
