People today will not tolerate conviction. And because of this, many church have come to believe that, if they're to grow, they must only preach and teach "positive" messages; they must not say anything to make people feel guilty. However, accorting to 2 Timothy 4:1-5, right preaching does mean convicting people. God uses his Word to strengthen us in faith, and to equip us for his service.
